ALLIANZ INSURANCE LAUNCHES FREE WEATHER APP

Allianz Insurance has launched a free Smartphone application called ‘Allianz WeatherSafe’, which provides severe weather alerts and risk advice for businesses and householders.

The new App, available for iOS and Android, uses 3-hourly and 7-day forecasts supplied by MeteoGroup, one of the world’s leading weather forecasters. Users can set up automatic alerts in up to three locations across Europe and can choose to receive notifications or emails when there is a severe weather threat.

Additional features include:

• Advice on protecting your property in the event of severe weather, ranging from simple immediate steps that you can take in an emergency to detailed action plans
• The ability to share weather forecasts and alerts with friends and family on Twitter, Facebook and email
• Satellite imagery and rainfall radar functionality
