Press release -

ALLIANZ OPENS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME TO RETAIL BROKERS FOR A SECOND YEAR

Allianz has announced that its award winning Scholarship Programme, which supports brokers to achieve their CII Diploma in Insurance, will today open for applications from personal lines brokers.

Following the success of the scheme since it launched to Commercial brokers in 2012, Allianz has created a further 20 positions for Retail scholars and will provide chosen candidates with first-class tuition, revision sessions and free study texts to help them achieve their qualifications within 18 months.

Current scholar, Stevie Ridgley from Firth & Scott Insurance Brokers, commented: “There is a growing emphasis on professionalism throughout the industry, so I am delighted to have the opportunity to achieve my CII Diploma. The study support I have received, combined with the facility to network and share knowledge with my peers, has been invaluable to my professional development.”

Adam Marshall, head of broker sales and distribution, Allianz Retail, commented: “The Scholarship Programme has been incredibly well received by our first intake of retail broker partners and we expect a high demand for places this year. We have been very pleased with the quality of our current scholars and look forward to welcoming our second intake, so we can continue to nurture talent within the industry.”

To apply for a place on the Scholarship Programme, brokers can visit www.allianz.co.uk/scholarshipapplication or contact their local business developer. The window for scholarship applications closes on the 21st May 2014 and studies will begin in October 2014.
