TALENTED TRIO ARE WELCOMED ONTO ALLIANZ’S ONE YEAR PLACEMENT SCHEME
Allianz has welcomed its second intake of students onto the newly created One Year Placement Scheme.
Alex O’Farrell, Joseph Hennessy, both from the University of Surrey, and Tobias Duggan University of Bath, will be the second group to take part in the programme specifically created for university students looking to gain professional experience before entering the workplace.
The placement programme develops business and analytical skills, with candidates assisting in product design, pricing decisions and tracking business performance. In addition to the hands-on experience, candidates also complete Allianz Retail’s Underwriting Academy.
Tom Moss, Retail technical director, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Alex, Joseph and Tobias to the business. In today’s job market, industry experience is proving vital for graduates and this is a great opportunity for them to kick-start their career before they even graduate.”

The three new students replace Samuel Obute, (Lancaster University), Jamie Burnett, (Surrey University), and Danielle Enwright (Liverpool University).
Obute said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the programme and would encourage students to consider it. You’re given real responsibility in a market-leading insurance company; this is a great thing to put on your CV and gives you a real insight into the industry.”
Applications are now open for the mid-September 2016 intake. To be considered students need to be studying for a numerate degree and have achieved 300 UCAS at 3 A-level, including a B or above in Maths.
