Graham Gibson, chief claims officer, responds to cyber security concerns
In reaction to the ABI press statement that driverless cars must be resilient to cyber attacks, Allianz's chief claims officer, Graham Gibson has shared his opinion on the news:
Graham Gibson, chief claims officer and chairman of Thatcham Research commented:
“Driverless cars bring many benefits, but the threat of these vehicles being vulnerable to cyber-attacks is a real concern. The profile of risk is changing as our society moves from car 1.0 to car 2.0, which is the phase of technology development which we are now entering. Work needs to be done to ensure that challenges around liability can be resolved”.
“As chairman of Thatcham Research, Allianz supports the ABI and Thatcham Research’s consultation for defining safe automation”.
