Allianz welcomes students for Summer Internship Scheme

Allianz Insurance has welcomed 18 university students onto its 2019 Summer Internship Scheme.

Run in Allianz branches across the country the scheme offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in the workplace. The nine week programme covers business areas including Actuarial, Operations, Underwriting and Finance with departments sharing their knowledge and expertise.

Alongside real responsibility and business insights, benefits include competitive pay and a performance assessment to consider suitability for the Allianz Graduate Scheme.

Starting in September almost a third of the 2019 graduate scheme roles will be filled by returning interns.

Jules Harrison, graduate talent manager, Allianz Insurance, commented: “This scheme is now in its eleventh year and we’re proud of all of our students who have taken part over the last decade.

“Summer internships are a fantastic way to gain real insights while studying; it’s not all about business benefits, they also build confidence and skills giving the students a real edge. We warmly welcome the 2019 intake and hope they enjoy their time at Allianz.”
