ALLIANZ WELCOMES STUDENT INTERNS

Allianz Insurance has welcomed 23 university students onto its 2015 Summer Internship Scheme.

Now in its seventh year, the nine week programme offers students the opportunity to work across all business areas including Commercial, Retail and Claims, to gain practical experience of working in the insurance industry. The scheme is highly competitive with the final few selected from over 3,400 applicants.

Alongside real responsibility and business insights, key benefits also include competitive pay and a performance assessment considering suitability for the Allianz Graduate Scheme. From the 2013 summer intern intake 70% re-joined as graduates in 2014.

Anthony Takyi, HR manager, graduates, Allianz Insurance, commented: “In an increasingly competitive graduate market getting hands-on work experience whilst still at university is a fantastic way to improve skills, confidence and employability. Schemes such as these open the student’s eyes to the world of work and careers in insurance. We’re really proud of our scheme and want to attract a much talent to Allianz as possible.”
